Adil Yeralievich Akhmetov is a Kazakhstani theater and film actor, television presenter, and public figure. He was born on September 30, 1984, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In 2002, he entered the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. K. Zhurgenov, where he studied drama and cinema acting under Professor Nurkanat Zhakypbay, graduating in 2006. Since 2007, Adil has been a leading actor at the “Zhastar” Youth Theater in Astana, while also building an impressive film career. He starred in key Kazakhstani films such as Zhauzhürek Myn Bala (2012), The Road to Mother (2016), and Tomiris (2019), becoming one of the prominent faces of contemporary Kazakh cinema. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, he was awarded the title of “Honored Worker of Kazakhstan” in 2017 and received the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Literature and Art in 2018. He is also known for his civic engagement and support of cultural initiatives.
