Miu Nomura is a 14-year-old 8th-grader who has been playing piano since early childhood. She grows up gradually while her friendship, kinship, and love affairs evolve around her, but those relationships inevitably affect her piano performance.

Miu Nomura is a talented, young pianist, but lately, she's having a lot of trouble focusing. She's got a crush on a boy a school, a moody teacher that might hate her, and she's lost interest in playing the piano. Luckily, she's also got her best friend Yuuki to help her out!

Mr. Shirikawa's interest in Miu's improvisational piece confuses her, but she's got other things to think about. Things don't get any easier when she learns that Takahashi working so hard to get ready for his entrance exams that he's fallen ill. With Miu's worry now split between the recital and Takahashi... things are getting to be terribly difficult.
