July 2, 2002Tomoya tells Mifuyu and Satomi his fears about Yuri. The two women go visit Takeshi, but he sidesteps them. Then Kyoichi sees Yuri being beaten.
July 9, 2002Work troubles abound: Kyoichi resents his reassignment, Kenta can’t tell Nanae his family’s business, and Satomi’s husband asks her to quit her job.
July 16, 2002Kenta’s cover is blown with Nanae. Takeshi’s paid off his debt and been offered his dream job. He wants to quit the site, but learns Kenta is in debt.
July 23, 2002When Kyoichi tells Nanae how Kenta feels, she visits him at home and tells him everything. Meanwhile, a student shows up at Tomoya’s place.
July 30, 2002Kyoichi can’t tell Kenta about Nanae’s suicide attempt, but Kenta senses something is wrong. Elsewhere, Satomi commissions a sketch from Tomoya.
August 6, 2002Mifuyu learns that Kyoichi and Tomoya fought over her 3 years ago. Yuri is uneasy, sensing bad luck looming for Takeshi as he dives into his new job.
August 13, 2002Mifuyu, Tomoya and Kenta look for the missing Satomi. When Kyoichi resigns, his boss tells him his father is still alive. Something worries Takeshi.
August 20, 2002Kyoichi’s father wants to meet but he can’t forgive him or his mother for lying. Yuri’s pregnancy comes to light. Meanwhile, Tomoya gets offered work.
August 27, 2002Tomoya is asked about his past when he’s interviewed as an exciting new artist, but Noriko brushes off his anger. Mifuyu and Satomi make choices.
September 3, 2002Takeshi decides to turn himself in. Mifuyu passes her teacher’s exam, then finds out she’s the unwitting co-creator of Tomoya’s new picture book.
September 10, 2002Suspicious about Takeshi’s death, Kyoichi grills Matsubara. A girl interested in the “heart book” asks Mifuyu about the meaning of courage.
